What Originally Brought Me to Filmmaking Was Nature...
My husband and I had bought a sailboat and I wanted to show people the incredible, magical places we were seeing. Filmmaking seemed like the only viable way to do that. A few years into that film creating adventure, a property I had spent many years exploring was up for development and the community was fighting to stop it. I decided the best way I could show my love for that land would be to offer my video services to help preserve it. You can see that film below.
Our Latest Project
Hamilton Marsh has been an important part of the Qualicum Beach and Coombs communities for many years. But it is not only important for people- it is also important for animals, plants, climate change mitigation and the French Creek watershed. Finally, after many years of trying, we were at the point where we might be able to preserve it for generations to come. Through the tireless efforts of many people for over 35 years, Hamilton Marsh has now been turned into a regional park and nature conservation area.
But before we know that would be the result, we made this film in hopes that we could further the cause and reach that desired goal.
